Folk resources

NorthEastFolk (web) ~ NortheastFolk.org is a website dedicated to the local and regional indie music scene in and around Boston and the Northeast. It is intended as a resource for performers, venues and service providers to exchange information and reach out to anyone interested in our community.  This website is about you, whether you're a listener, a performer or a venue. Feel free to join in and share the music.  Without a free account, just a small portion of the site is viewable.

NorthEastFolk (Yahoo) ~ NorthEastFolk is a folk music forum where its members share information about artists, music, concerts, lyrics, recordings, and performances. With roots in the Cambridge / Somerville / Boston scene, news from throughout the northeast is welcome. It is a sister site to www.northeastfolk.org, a repository of folk information (venues, artists, resources, RSS news feeds, etc.) that also contains a community discussion forum.  One must have a registered account (free) to read and post.

AcousticMusicScene.com ~ AcousticMusicScene.com is designed to promote quality acoustic music by providing you with useful news and insightful commentary. We also aim to foster a greater sense of community for performers, presenters and fans of folk, roots and other acoustic music styles.  Although Long Island calendar listings and news capsules are included within its pages (reflecting the locale of its creators), there also is and will be much posted here that should interest and appeal to a much broader and wider audience within the acoustic community.  AcousticMusicScene.com and several of its online columns will be updated frequently. If you have pertinent news to share with others through our site, please send an e-mail to editor@acousticmusicscene.com for consideration.
